Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Industrials and Financial Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA), which rose 2.81% or 0.45 points to trade at 16.49 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:BIMBOA) added 2.21% or 0.990 points to end at 45.880 and Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA) was up 1.48% or 0.280 points to 19.190 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA), which fell 3.92% or 4.19 points to trade at 102.77 at the close. Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA) declined 1.53% or 0.350 points to end at 22.520 and Becle SA (MX:CUERVO) was down 1.08% or 0.330 points to 30.190.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 187 to 114 and 3 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.03% or 0.43 to $1277.47 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.01% or 0.51 to hit $49.91 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.41% or 0.23 to trade at $55.77 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.27% to 18.2655, while EUR/MXN rose 0.47% to 21.4865.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 93.28.
