Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Health Care, Financial Services and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which rose 5.18% or 1.520 points to trade at 30.890 at the close. Meanwhile, Industrias CH, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ICHB) added 4.86% or 3.160 points to end at 68.700 and Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) was up 4.49% or 13.640 points to 317.200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which fell 26.32% or 5.830 points to trade at 16.450 at the close. Grupo Elektra, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ELEKTRA) declined 2.49% or 12.730 points to end at 500.920 and Coca-Cola Femsa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:KOFL) was down 2.23% or 2.950 points to 128.700.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 64 to 56 and 6 ended unchanged.
Shares in Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) fell to 3-year lows; down 26.32% or 5.830 to 16.450.
Gold for April delivery was up 0.20% or 2.40 to $1212.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude Oil for delivery in April rose 2.29% or 1.10 to hit $49.27 a barrel, while the April Brent Oil contract rose 3.30% or 1.98 to trade at $62.03 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.44% to 14.9321, while EUR/MXN fell 0.47% to 16.7151.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 95.30.
