Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecommunication Services, Financial Services and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC fell 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEXV), which rose 5.82% or 1.940 points to trade at 35.310 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:BIMBOA) added 2.98% or 1.220 points to end at 42.200 and Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) was up 2.41% or 0.740 points to 31.600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Televisa SA (MX:TLVACPO), which fell 4.60% or 4.810 points to trade at 99.440 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (MX:GAPB) declined 3.54% or 3.560 points to end at 97.000 and Bolsa Mexicana De Valores SAB De CV (MX:BOLSAA) was down 3.33% or 0.870 points to 25.230.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 67 to 62 and 1 ended unchanged.
Gold for April delivery was up 0.19% or 2.30 to $1210.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude Oil for delivery in April fell 3.54% or 1.92 to hit $52.37 a barrel, while the April Brent Oil contract fell 3.78% or 2.37 to trade at $60.16 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.47% to 14.8467, while EUR/MXN fell 0.57% to 16.9235.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 94.12.
