Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms Services, Financial Services and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC rose 1.12%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GCARSOA1), which rose 3.47% or 2.430 points to trade at 72.500 at the close. Meanwhile, Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO) added 3.21% or 0.410 points to end at 13.180 and VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA) was up 3.14% or 0.42 points to 13.81 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were GMexico Transportes SA de CV (MX:GMXT), which fell 0.85% or 0.280 points to trade at 32.490 at the close. PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) declined 0.77% or 1.54 points to end at 198.56 and Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) was down 0.48% or 0.260 points to 53.550.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 153 to 107 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.58% or 6.90 to $1201.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.89% or 0.58 to hit $66.00 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.66% or 0.48 to trade at $72.69 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.72% to 18.8719, while EUR/MXN rose 0.10% to 21.8397.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.57% at 95.13.
