Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC gained 1.01%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Wal Mart de Mexico SAB de CV (BMV:WALMEX), which rose 5.84% or 3.29 points to trade at 59.66 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (BMV:OMAB) added 2.19% or 3.58 points to end at 167.22 and Megacable Holdings, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:MEGACPO) was up 0.10% or 0.04 points to 41.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:AC), which fell 3.80% or 7.06 points to trade at 178.71 at the close. Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (BMV:TLEVISACPO) declined 3.08% or 0.30 points to end at 9.44 and Banco Del Bajio SA Institution De Banca Multiple (BMV:BBAJIOO) was down 3.31% or 1.46 points to 42.68.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 117 to 95 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banco Del Bajio SA Institution De Banca Multiple (BMV:BBAJIOO) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.31% or 1.46 to 42.68.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.81% or 21.20 to $2,647.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.21% or 2.35 to hit $75.59 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 3.20% or 2.45 to trade at $79.03 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.04% to 19.46, while EUR/MXN fell 0.22% to 21.28.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 102.64.
