Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Telecoms Services and Financial Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA), which rose 3.87% or 1.220 points to trade at 32.710 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico SAB de CV Class B (MX:BSMXB) added 3.54% or 0.940 points to end at 27.510 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (MX:ASURB) was up 3.49% or 11.26 points to 333.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB), which fell 2.68% or 0.61 points to trade at 22.17 at the close. Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) declined 2.29% or 8.21 points to end at 350.00 and Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) was down 1.83% or 0.270 points to 14.500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 190 to 100 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) fell to all time lows; losing 2.68% or 0.61 to 22.17. Shares in Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.29% or 8.21 to 350.00.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.08% or 1.10 to $1315.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.07% or 0.76 to hit $69.97 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.34% or 0.26 to trade at $75.91 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.59% to 19.5765, while EUR/MXN rose 0.11% to 23.2300.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.35% at 92.93.
