Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods & Services, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA), which rose 4.17% or 0.61 points to trade at 15.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Carso, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GCARSOA1) added 3.38% or 2.250 points to end at 68.900 and Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA) was up 3.01% or 2.70 points to 92.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA), which fell 1.35% or 0.200 points to trade at 14.590 at the close. Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO) declined 1.24% or 0.170 points to end at 13.550 and Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) was down 1.12% or 4.65 points to 409.93.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 172 to 104 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.01% or 0.10 to $1323.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $61.34 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.02% or 0.01 to trade at $64.96 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.05% to 18.5828, while EUR/MXN fell 0.05% to 22.9214.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 89.89.
