Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Promotora y Operadora de Infraestructura SAB de CV (BMV:PINFRA), which rose 3.05% or 5.30 points to trade at 178.99 at the close. Meanwhile, Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (BMV:PEOLES) added 2.34% or 6.11 points to end at 267.75 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del Sureste (BMV:ASURB) was up 1.97% or 10.38 points to 536.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:ALSEA), which fell 2.44% or 1.33 points to trade at 53.20 at the close. Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (BMV:KIMBERA) declined 2.28% or 0.72 points to end at 30.79 and Becle SA (BMV:CUERVO) was down 1.96% or 0.60 points to 30.01.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 159 to 71 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.35% or 9.20 to $2,626.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.29% or 0.21 to hit $73.36 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.13% or 0.10 to trade at $76.80 a barrel.
USD/MXN was unchanged 0.02% to 19.49, while EUR/MXN unchanged 0.02% to 21.32.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 102.68.
