Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financial Services and Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC added 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA), which rose 3.08% or 0.35 points to trade at 11.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) added 3.05% or 0.440 points to end at 14.880 and BanRegio Grupo Financiero SAB de CV (MX:RA) was up 2.58% or 2.99 points to 119.04 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1), which fell 1.79% or 2.26 points to trade at 124.17 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (MX:OMAB) declined 1.34% or 1.340 points to end at 98.650 and Becle SA (MX:CUERVO) was down 1.03% or 0.330 points to 31.810.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 135 to 127 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.51% or 6.70 to $1316.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.51% or 0.35 to hit $68.45 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.08% or 0.80 to trade at $74.59 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.37% to 18.6876, while EUR/MXN fell 0.04% to 22.5745.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 91.62.
