Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms Services, Industrials and Consumer Goods & Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC rose 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Grupo Comercial Chedraui, SAB De CV (BMV:CHDRAUIB), which rose 4.15% or 5.74 points to trade at 144.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Gruma SAB de CV (BMV:GRUMAB) added 2.72% or 9.55 points to end at 360.56 and Megacable Holdings, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:MEGACPO) was up 2.29% or 1.09 points to 48.59 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:GMEXICOB), which fell 2.81% or 3.07 points to trade at 106.20 at the close. Gentera SAB de CV (BMV:GENTERA) declined 2.13% or 0.50 points to end at 22.95 and Qualitas Controladora, SAB De CV (BMV:Q) was down 1.98% or 3.37 points to 166.68.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 130 to 99 and 15 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.79% or 43.55 to $2,472.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.24% or 1.00 to hit $79.84 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.20% or 1.02 to trade at $83.83 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.44% to 17.65, while EUR/MXN fell 0.54% to 19.24.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 103.91.
