Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods & Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the S&P/BMV IPC rose 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P/BMV IPC were Banco Del Bajio SA Institution De Banca Multiple (BMV:BBAJIOO), which rose 3.78% or 1.61 points to trade at 44.21 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:GMEXICOB) added 3.61% or 3.93 points to end at 112.77 and Grupo Bimbo, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:BIMBOA) was up 2.15% or 1.39 points to 65.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV (BMV:ORBIA), which fell 3.22% or 0.68 points to trade at 20.47 at the close. Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico SAB De CV Class B (BMV:GAPB) declined 2.80% or 9.59 points to end at 333.08 and Grupo Aeroportuario Del CentroNorte (BMV:OMAB) was down 2.10% or 3.53 points to 164.25.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 118 to 98 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.32% or 34.90 to $2,674.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.47% or 0.36 to hit $75.49 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.68% or 0.54 to trade at $78.86 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.89% to 19.28, while EUR/MXN fell 1.13% to 21.09.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 102.72.
