Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Staples, Industrials and Consumer Goods & Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC rose 0.69%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALSEA), which rose 5.14% or 3.000 points to trade at 61.390 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Financiero Inbursa , SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) added 3.98% or 1.320 points to end at 34.480 and Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) was up 3.38% or 0.750 points to 22.970 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA), which fell 1.75% or 1.81 points to trade at 101.49 at the close. Grupo Financiero Santander Mexico SAB De CV (MX:SANMEXB) declined 1.06% or 0.330 points to end at 30.670 and Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO) was down 0.94% or 0.140 points to 14.770.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 147 to 102 and 10 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo Financiero Inbursa, SAB De CV (MX:GFINBURO) rose to 52-week highs; rising 3.98% or 1.320 to 34.480. Shares in Cemex SAB de CV (MX:CMXCPO) fell to 52-week lows; losing 0.94% or 0.140 to 14.770.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.42% or 5.35 to $1280.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.19% or 0.67 to hit $57.09 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.13% or 0.08 to trade at $62.78 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.08% to 18.7876, while EUR/MXN rose 0.06% to 22.0487.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 93.89.
