Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms Services, Financial Services and Consumer Staples sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC rose 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA), which rose 1.91% or 0.670 points to trade at 35.820 at the close. Meanwhile, Fomento Economico Mexicano UBD (MX:FMSAUBD) added 1.89% or 3.25 points to end at 175.06 and Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO) was up 1.76% or 1.89 points to 109.03 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which fell 2.81% or 13.05 points to trade at 451.55 at the close. El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1) declined 1.95% or 3.07 points to end at 154.33 and VOLARIS A (MX:VOLARA) was down 1.90% or 0.41 points to 21.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 133 to 95 and 7 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 1.00% or 13.23 to $1311.97 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.16% or 0.08 to hit $50.36 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.27% or 0.15 to trade at $55.47 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.55% to 17.7554, while EUR/MXN rose 0.65% to 21.2304.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 91.79.
