Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Materials, Industrials and Consumer Goods & Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC added 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA), which rose 5.14% or 1.040 points to trade at 21.270 at the close. Meanwhile, Nemak SAB de CV (MX:NEMAKA) added 3.30% or 0.43 points to end at 13.45 and Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA) was up 2.06% or 0.410 points to 20.350 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banregio Grupo Financiero SAB De CV (MX:GFREGIOO), which fell 2.45% or 2.54 points to trade at 101.09 at the close. Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (MX:TLVACPO) declined 2.02% or 1.50 points to end at 72.90 and Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) was down 1.20% or 0.400 points to 32.860.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 123 to 112 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo Televisa SAB Unit (MX:TLVACPO) fell to 3-years lows; losing 2.02% or 1.50 to 72.90.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.08% or 1.00 to $1278.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.13% or 0.07 to hit $55.26 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.08% or 0.05 to trade at $61.41 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.01% to 19.0528, while EUR/MXN rose 0.00% to 22.4276.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 93.84.
