Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms Services, Healthcare and Financial Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC rose 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Infraestructura Energetica Nova SAB (MX:IENOVA), which rose 3.61% or 3.50 points to trade at 100.36 at the close. Meanwhile, Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES) added 3.32% or 14.75 points to end at 458.72 and Alsea , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALSEA) was up 1.63% or 1.060 points to 65.990 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alfa, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALFAA), which fell 1.68% or 0.410 points to trade at 23.940 at the close. El Puerto De Liverpool Sab De CV (MX:LIVEPOLC1) declined 1.27% or 1.90 points to end at 148.13 and Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) was down 1.21% or 0.660 points to 54.030.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 153 to 107 and 8 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.23% or 15.90 to $1313.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.88% or 1.46 to hit $52.12 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 3.74% or 2.11 to trade at $58.53 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 1.02% to 17.9263, while EUR/MXN rose 0.16% to 21.2359.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.55% at 92.46.
