Investing.com – Malaysia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Industrials and Trade & Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Kuala Lumpur, the FTSE Malaysia KLCI gained 0.91%.
The best performers of the session on the FTSE Malaysia KLCI were KLCC Property Holdings Bhd (KL:KLCC), which fell 0.43% or 0.03 points to trade at 7.01 at the close. Meanwhile, Bumiputra - Commerce Holdings Bhd (KL:CIMB) added 2.23% or 0.10 points to end at 4.59 and Petronas Dagangan Bhd (KL:PETR) was up 0.81% or 0.18 points to 22.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Axiata Group Bhd (KL:AXIA), which rose 0.50% or 0.03 points to trade at 6.00 at the close. DiGi.Com Bhd (KL:DSOM) declined 0.52% or 0.03 points to end at 5.70 and IOI Corporation Bhd (KL:IOIB) was up 1.20% or 0.05 points to 4.22.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange by 325 to 241 and 26 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.18% or 0.09 to $46.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.34% or 0.17 to hit $49.41 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1136.80 a troy ounce.
SGD/MYR was up 0.27% to 3.0668, while USD/MYR rose 0.58% to 4.3705.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 96.06.
