Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Tourism, Food & Beverages and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ulker Biskuvi (IS:ULKER), which rose 5.47% or 0.85 points to trade at 16.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Zorlu Enerji (IS:ZOREN) added 4.79% or 0.070 points to end at 1.530 and Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) was up 4.35% or 0.010 points to 0.240 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL), which fell 2.75% or 0.70 points to trade at 24.80 at the close. Odas Elektrik (IS:ODAS) declined 2.68% or 0.210 points to end at 7.630 and Coca Cola Icecek (IS:CCOLA) was down 2.09% or 0.75 points to 35.05.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 273 to 119 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Coca Cola Icecek (IS:CCOLA) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.09% or 0.75 to 35.05.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.17% or 1.90 to $1113.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.69% or 0.29 to hit $42.52 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.70% or 0.34 to trade at $49.28 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.53% to 2.8354, while EUR/TRY rose 0.12% to 3.1511.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.26% at 96.61.
