Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Basic Metals and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vestel (IS:VESTL), which rose 8.92% or 0.340 points to trade at 4.150 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestel Beyaz Esya (IS:VESBE) added 8.09% or 0.790 points to end at 10.550 and Metro Holding (IS:METRO) was up 7.94% or 0.050 points to 0.680 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS), which fell 4.60% or 0.55 points to trade at 11.40 at the close. Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS) declined 4.35% or 0.010 points to end at 0.220 and Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) was down 3.36% or 0.75 points to 21.55.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 213 to 185 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 1.30% or 14.80 to $1123.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.66% or 0.26 to hit $39.05 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.17% or 0.07 to trade at $43.28 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.10% to 2.9370, while EUR/TRY fell 1.25% to 3.3449.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.98% at 94.83.
