Investing.com – India stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate, Auto and Power sectors led shares lower.
At the close in NSE, the Nifty 50 fell 0.06%, while the BSE Sensex 30 index fell 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the Nifty 50 were HCL Technologies Ltd (NS:HCLT), which rose 3.53% or 40.25 points to trade at 1183.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (NS:ZEE) added 4.06% or 16.95 points to end at 432.60 and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (NS:IOC) was up 3.70% or 5.65 points to 158.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yes Bank Ltd (NS:YESB), which fell 29.70% or 70.45 points to trade at 168.00 at the close. Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd (NS:INBF) declined 6.40% or 47.25 points to end at 695.45 and IndusInd Bank Ltd. (NS:INBK) was down 5.80% or 98.55 points to 1606.50.
The top performers on the BSE Sensex 30 were HCL Technologies Ltd (BO:HCLT) which rose 4.00% to 1183.35, Tata Steel Ltd (BO:TISC) which was up 2.10% to settle at 556.45 and HDFC Bank Ltd (BO:HDBK) which gained 1.77% to close at 2315.50.
The worst performers were Yes Bank Ltd (BO:YESB) which was down 29.23% to 168.00 in late trade, IndusInd Bank Ltd. (BO:INBK) which lost 5.21% to settle at 1607.70 and Hero MotoCorp Ltd (BO:HROM) which was down 3.51% to 2512.65 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the India National Stock Exchange by 1222 to 403 and 37 ended unchanged; on the Bombay Stock Exchange, 1744 fell and 696 advanced, while 144 ended unchanged.

The India VIX, which measures the implied volatility of Nifty 50 options, was up 0.51% to 21.8275.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.40% or 5.15 to $1286.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 1.31% or 0.83 to hit $64.33 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.08% or 0.77 to trade at $72.31 a barrel.
USD/INR was down 0.31% to 69.603, while EUR/INR fell 0.06% to 78.0180.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 97.343.
