Investing.com – India stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Real Estate, IT and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in NSE, the Nifty 50 gained 1.19%, while the BSE Sensex 30 index gained 1.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Nifty 50 were Eicher Motors Ltd. (NS:EICH), which rose 5.39% or 196.55 points to trade at 3,841.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Tech Mahindra Ltd (NS:TEML) added 3.77% or 42.65 points to end at 1,174.00 and Hindalco Industries Ltd. (NS:HALC) was up 3.72% or 18.15 points to 505.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bajaj Finance Ltd (NS:BJFN), which fell 1.95% or 143.85 points to trade at 7,217.00 at the close. Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (NS:PGRD) declined 1.08% or 2.30 points to end at 210.00 and IndusInd Bank Ltd. (NS:INBK) was down 0.97% or 14.60 points to 1,495.00.
The top performers on the BSE Sensex 30 were Tech Mahindra Ltd (BO:TEML) which rose 3.83% to 1,174.60, LTIMindtree Ltd (BO:LTIM) which was up 2.71% to settle at 5,400.95 and Infosys Ltd (BO:INFY) which gained 2.69% to close at 1,411.15.
The worst performers were Bajaj Finance Ltd (BO:BJFN) which was down 1.84% to 7,223.95 in late trade, IndusInd Bank Ltd. (BO:INBK) which lost 0.97% to settle at 1,495.40 and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (BO:PGRD) which was down 0.97% to 210.25 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the India National Stock Exchange by 1248 to 820 and 66 ended unchanged; on the Bombay Stock Exchange, 2165 rose and 1453 declined, while 133 ended unchanged.

The India VIX, which measures the implied volatility of Nifty 50 options, was down 0.47% to 11.14.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.53% or 10.45 to $1,976.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.61% or 0.48 to hit $77.78 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.44% or 0.36 to trade at $82.11 a barrel.
USD/INR was up 0.19% to 83.12, while EUR/INR fell 0.03% to 90.21.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 104.11.
