Investing.com – India stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Durables, Power and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in NSE, the Nifty 50 added 0.68%, while the BSE Sensex 30 index climbed 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the Nifty 50 were Bharti Infratel Ltd (NS:BHRI), which rose 19.26% or 35.80 points to trade at 221.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Bajaj Finserv Ltd (NS:BJFS) added 9.27% or 725.40 points to end at 8548.80 and Titan Company Ltd (NS:TITN) was up 5.39% or 69.60 points to 1362.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Reliance Industries Ltd (NS:RELI), which fell 3.66% or 72.15 points to trade at 1901.00 at the close. Adani Port and Special Economic Zone Ltd (NS:APSE) declined 1.56% or 5.95 points to end at 375.95 and IndusInd Bank Ltd. (NS:INBK) was down 1.47% or 12.00 points to 806.00.
The top performers on the BSE Sensex 30 were Bajaj Finserv Ltd (BO:BJFS) which rose 9.08% to 8533.00, Titan Company Ltd (BO:TITN) which was up 5.40% to settle at 1362.15 and Bajaj Finance Ltd (BO:BJFN) which gained 3.99% to close at 4715.00.
The worst performers were Reliance Industries Ltd (BO:RELI) which was down 3.72% to 1899.20 in late trade, IndusInd Bank Ltd. (BO:INBK) which lost 1.43% to settle at 806.00 and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (BO:SUN) which was down 1.03% to 502.15 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the India National Stock Exchange by 944 to 659 and 98 ended unchanged; on the Bombay Stock Exchange, 1491 rose and 1203 declined, while 175 ended unchanged.

The India VIX, which measures the implied volatility of Nifty 50 options, was up 0.24% to 19.6175.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.21% or 4.00 to $1865.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.76% or 0.32 to hit $42.22 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.95% or 0.42 to trade at $44.62 a barrel.
USD/INR was up 0.02% to 74.115, while EUR/INR fell 0.10% to 87.8890.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 92.365.
