Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Insurance, Industrials and Consumer & Cyclical sectors led shares higher while losses in the Retail, Financial Services and Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 4.77%, while the MDAX index gained 1.92%, and the TecDAX index lost 1.05%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (DE:MTXGn), which rose 15.93% or 26.15 points to trade at 190.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Muench. Rueckvers. VNA O.N. (DE:MUVGn) added 12.95% or 26.60 points to end at 231.95 and Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (DE:FREG) was up 12.45% or 4.180 points to 37.765 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Deutsche Wohnen AG (DE:DWNG), which fell 5.82% or 2.690 points to trade at 43.550 at the close. Delivery Hero AG (DE:DHER) declined 5.12% or 5.75 points to end at 106.60 and Vonovia SE (DE:VNAn) was down 2.90% or 1.72 points to 57.64.
The top performers on the MDAX were Fraport AG (DE:FRAG) which rose 30.97% to 43.160, CTS Eventim AG (DE:EVDG) which was up 22.92% to settle at 51.650 and Deutsche Lufthansa AG (DE:LHAG) which gained 20.71% to close at 8.976.
The worst performers were HelloFresh SE (DE:HFGG) which was down 14.80% to 41.90 in late trade, Qiagen NV (DE:QIA) which lost 9.78% to settle at 39.150 and TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which was down 8.59% to 35.56 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were New Work SE (DE:NWOn) which rose 5.04% to 239.50, Jenoptik AG (DE:JENGn) which was up 4.49% to settle at 24.200 and Siltronic AG (DE:WAFGn) which gained 4.90% to close at 91.160.
The worst performers were Qiagen NV (DE:QIA) which was down 9.78% to 39.150 in late trade, Draegerwerk VZO O.N. (DE:DRWG_p) which lost 9.32% to settle at 66.200 and TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which was down 8.59% to 35.56 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 516 to 163 and 25 ended unchanged.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 6.98% to 26.00.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 5.06% or 98.85 to $1852.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 8.86% or 3.29 to hit $40.43 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 7.71% or 3.04 to trade at $42.49 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.56% to 1.1805, while EUR/GBP fell 0.33% to 0.8992.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.74% at 92.907.
