Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher while losses in the Construction, Financial Services and Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX rose 0.29% to hit a new all time high, while the MDAX index fell 0.17%, and the TecDAX index fell 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n), which rose 3.35% or 0.45 points to trade at 13.88 at the close. Meanwhile, Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (ETR:BMWG) added 2.44% or 2.48 points to end at 104.30 and Dr Ing hc F Porsche AG Preferred (ETR:P911_p) was up 2.25% or 1.78 points to 80.86 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG), which fell 2.95% or 1.62 points to trade at 53.30 at the close. Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:SY1G) declined 1.42% or 1.40 points to end at 97.02 and Deutsche Boerse AG (ETR:DB1Gn) was down 1.27% or 2.40 points to 186.45.
The top performers on the MDAX were CTS Eventim AG (ETR:EVDG) which rose 2.42% to 69.95, Lanxess AG (ETR:LXSG) which was up 2.36% to settle at 24.74 and Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:BOSSn) which gained 1.99% to close at 63.60.
The worst performers were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which was down 6.90% to 48.46 in late trade, Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:FMEG) which lost 5.52% to settle at 35.62 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which was down 2.02% to 9.92 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which rose 1.29% to 13.39, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) which was up 1.03% to settle at 32.90 and Cancom SE O.N. (ETR:COKG) which gained 0.93% to close at 28.08.
The worst performers were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which was down 6.90% to 48.46 in late trade, ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which lost 3.73% to settle at 5.63 and Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG) which was down 2.95% to 53.30 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 324 to 289 and 36 ended unchanged.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 1.50% to 13.56.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.25% or 5.15 to $2,034.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.08% or 0.83 to hit $77.87 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.79% or 0.65 to trade at $82.99 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.09% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 103.97.
