Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher while losses in the Construction, Software and Transportation & Logistics sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX declined 0.45%, while the MDAX index gained 0.39%, and the TecDAX index declined 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:RWEG), which rose 3.23% or 1.29 points to trade at 41.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) added 2.88% or 0.83 points to end at 29.67 and Bayer AG NA (ETR:BAYGN) was up 2.71% or 1.67 points to 63.21 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:PSHG_p), which fell 3.26% or 2.54 points to trade at 75.28 at the close. Continental AG O.N. (ETR:CONG) declined 2.62% or 1.74 points to end at 64.62 and Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:FREG) was down 2.52% or 0.86 points to 33.23.
The top performers on the MDAX were LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:LEGn) which rose 4.16% to 98.74, Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (ETR:PSMGn) which was up 3.35% to settle at 10.00 and Freenet AG NA (ETR:FNTGn) which gained 2.87% to close at 22.94.
The worst performers were Vantage Towers AG (ETR:VTWRn) which was down 4.19% to 29.74 in late trade, Gerresheimer AG (ETR:GXIG) which lost 4.06% to settle at 66.20 and Deutsche Lufthansa AG (ETR:LHAG) which was down 2.96% to 6.70 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:VBKG) which rose 4.71% to 55.60, Freenet AG NA (ETR:FNTGn) which was up 2.87% to settle at 22.94 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:AFXG) which gained 2.61% to close at 119.70.
The worst performers were Vantage Towers AG (ETR:VTWRn) which was down 4.19% to 29.74 in late trade, Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which lost 2.96% to settle at 124.40 and Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which was down 2.76% to 17.95 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 337 to 334 and 92 ended unchanged.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.33% to 27.54.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.27% or 4.81 to $1,813.01 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 2.41% or 2.62 to hit $111.25 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.81% or 2.02 to trade at $113.57 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 104.39.
