Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Retail and Media sectors led shares higher while losses in the Utilities, Financial Services and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX declined 0.07%, while the MDAX index added 0.84%, and the TecDAX index climbed 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:IFXGn), which rose 2.86% or 0.685 points to trade at 24.625 at the close. Meanwhile, Continental AG O.N. (DE:CONG) added 2.47% or 2.30 points to end at 95.58 and Covestro AG (DE:1COV) was up 1.68% or 0.720 points to 43.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Deutsche Wohnen AG (DE:DWNG), which fell 3.58% or 1.630 points to trade at 43.920 at the close. RWE AG ST O.N. (DE:RWEG) declined 1.56% or 0.500 points to end at 31.495 and Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (DE:VOWG_p) was down 1.46% or 2.20 points to 148.29.
The top performers on the MDAX were Metro Wholesale & Food Specialist AG (DE:B4B) which rose 7.74% to 8.9600, Airbus Group SE (DE:AIRG) which was up 3.58% to settle at 71.24 and HelloFresh SE (DE:HFGG) which gained 3.28% to close at 39.70.
The worst performers were CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (DE:COP1n) which was down 1.41% to 76.750 in late trade, Evonik Industries AG (DE:EVKn) which lost 1.38% to settle at 23.660 and Commerzbank AG O.N. (DE:CBKG) which was down 1.10% to 4.785 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Bechtle AG (DE:BC8G) which rose 2.96% to 163.400, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:IFXGn) which was up 2.86% to settle at 24.625 and TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which gained 2.62% to close at 41.49.
The worst performers were CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (DE:COP1n) which was down 1.41% to 76.750 in late trade, Jenoptik AG (DE:JENGn) which lost 1.26% to settle at 21.900 and Freenet AG NA (DE:FNTGn) which was down 1.05% to 18.405 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 376 to 283 and 88 ended unchanged.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.55% to 24.06.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.87% or 16.90 to $1964.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.08% or 0.03 to hit $37.30 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.25% or 0.10 to trade at $39.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1865, while EUR/GBP fell 0.38% to 0.9223.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 93.058.
