Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Software and Media sectors led shares higher while losses in the Construction, Retail and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX declined 0.03%, while the MDAX index fell 0.46%, and the TecDAX index gained 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:MTXGn), which rose 2.69% or 5.90 points to trade at 225.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Airbus Group SE (ETR:AIRG) added 1.76% or 2.68 points to end at 155.32 and Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (ETR:VOWG_p) was up 1.28% or 1.52 points to 120.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fresenius SE & Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:FREG), which fell 4.22% or 1.09 points to trade at 24.71 at the close. Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:DTGGe) declined 4.10% or 1.83 points to end at 42.75 and Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) was down 3.33% or 0.66 points to 19.14.
The top performers on the MDAX were Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which rose 3.96% to 28.32, Jungheinrich AG O.N.VZO (ETR:JUNG_p) which was up 2.30% to settle at 31.96 and Scout24 AG (ETR:G24n) which gained 2.05% to close at 68.72.
The worst performers were HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG) which was down 5.93% to 11.89 in late trade, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which lost 3.87% to settle at 13.40 and K&S AG (ETR:SDFGn) which was down 3.42% to 12.72 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which rose 6.70% to 5.54, Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which was up 3.96% to settle at 28.32 and Atoss Software AG (ETR:AOFG) which gained 2.43% to close at 253.00.
The worst performers were Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:VBKG) which was down 3.91% to 18.56 in late trade, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which lost 3.87% to settle at 13.40 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which was down 2.80% to 57.20 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 370 to 243 and 31 ended unchanged.
Shares in Airbus Group SE (ETR:AIRG) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.76% or 2.68 to 155.32.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 1.39% to 13.10.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.41% or 29.50 to $2,125.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.18% or 0.94 to hit $79.03 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.72% or 0.60 to trade at $82.95 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.15% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 103.76.
