Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Insurance, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX declined 3.04% to hit a new 1-month low, while the MDAX index lost 2.74%, and the TecDAX index declined 1.80%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p), which rose 0.80% or 3.20 points to trade at 403.80 at the close. Meanwhile, RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:RWEG) fell 0.03% or 0.01 points to end at 38.56 and Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:SY1G) was down 0.06% or 0.06 points to 93.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:CBKG), which fell 12.71% or 1.45 points to trade at 9.96 at the close. Covestro AG (ETR:1COV) declined 5.15% or 1.99 points to end at 36.62 and Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:DBKGn) was down 4.87% or 0.52 points to 10.15.
The top performers on the MDAX were Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:TEGG) which rose 3.18% to 6.97, LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:LEGn) which was up 1.65% to settle at 57.82 and Vantage Towers AG (ETR:VTWRn) which gained 1.07% to close at 34.12.
The worst performers were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which was down 7.52% to 14.15 in late trade, Lanxess AG (ETR:LXSG) which lost 7.21% to settle at 38.49 and Kion Group AG (ETR:KGX) which was down 6.54% to 31.13 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which rose 1.32% to 14.57, Vantage Towers AG (ETR:VTWRn) which was up 1.07% to settle at 34.12 and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) which gained 0.80% to close at 403.80.
The worst performers were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which was down 7.52% to 14.15 in late trade, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) which lost 4.28% to settle at 34.08 and TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which was down 4.10% to 14.38 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 585 to 120 and 52 ended unchanged.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 20.48% to 23.94 a new 3-months high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 2.49% or 46.50 to $1,913.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 2.45% or 1.88 to hit $74.80 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 2.42% or 2.00 to trade at $80.78 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.83% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.43% to 0.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.90% at 103.21.
