Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Software, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX fell 0.47%, while the MDAX index fell 0.83%, and the TecDAX index declined 1.25%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Thyssenkrupp AG O.N. (DE:TKAG), which rose 5.70% or 0.562 points to trade at 10.430 at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:DBKGn) added 1.94% or 0.123 points to end at 6.471 and Continental AG O.N. (DE:CONG) was up 1.11% or 1.20 points to 108.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SAP SE (DE:SAPG), which fell 2.17% or 2.380 points to trade at 107.480 at the close. Vonovia SE (DE:VNAn) declined 1.42% or 0.62 points to end at 43.00 and Adidas AG (DE:ADSGN) was down 1.22% or 3.25 points to 262.55.
The top performers on the MDAX were CTS Eventim AG (DE:EVDG) which rose 4.58% to 51.100, Drillisch AG (DE:DRIG) which was up 2.29% to settle at 24.980 and Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (DE:PSMGn) which gained 2.18% to close at 11.5000.
The worst performers were Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:MORG) which was down 4.13% to 109.1000 in late trade, Airbus Group SE (DE:AIRG) which lost 2.84% to settle at 124.44 and Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:SHLG) which was down 2.84% to 35.62 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Jenoptik AG (DE:JENGn) which rose 4.05% to 21.850, Nordex SE O.N. (DE:NDXG) which was up 2.79% to settle at 9.410 and Drillisch AG (DE:DRIG) which gained 2.29% to close at 24.980.
The worst performers were Aixtron SE NA O.N. (DE:AIXGn) which was down 4.71% to 9.2680 in late trade, New Work SE (DE:NWOn) which lost 4.32% to settle at 266.00 and Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:MORG) which was down 4.13% to 109.100 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 360 to 315 and 88 ended unchanged.
Shares in CTS Eventim AG (DE:EVDG) rose to all time highs; up 4.58% or 2.240 to 51.100.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 7.67% to 18.68.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.48% or 7.35 to $1508.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $55.70 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.07% or 0.04 to trade at $60.26 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.00% to 1.1083, while EUR/GBP fell 1.02% to 0.9045.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 98.083.
