Investing.com – Germany stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Construction, Software and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX lost 0.07%, while the MDAX index declined 0.36%, and the TecDAX index fell 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG), which rose 2.17% or 11.20 points to trade at 527.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn) added 2.09% or 0.59 points to end at 28.80 and Deutsche Boerse AG (ETR:DB1Gn) was up 1.78% or 3.20 points to 182.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n), which fell 4.39% or 1.14 points to trade at 24.85 at the close. Airbus Group SE (ETR:AIRG) declined 2.01% or 3.20 points to end at 155.90 and SAP SE (ETR:SAPG) was down 1.55% or 2.62 points to 165.96.
The top performers on the MDAX were RTL Group SA (ETR:RRTL) which rose 4.24% to 30.75, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which was up 3.04% to settle at 8.65 and Gerresheimer AG (ETR:GXIG) which gained 2.34% to close at 105.00.
The worst performers were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:AFXG) which was down 5.37% to 84.65 in late trade, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which lost 4.40% to settle at 48.18 and Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which was down 2.88% to 20.94 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which rose 3.04% to 8.65, Energiekontor AG (ETR:EKTG) which was up 1.99% to settle at 71.90 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which gained 1.52% to close at 37.36.
The worst performers were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:AFXG) which was down 5.37% to 84.65 in late trade, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which lost 4.40% to settle at 48.18 and Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which was down 2.88% to 20.94 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 332 to 271 and 41 ended unchanged.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 1.98% to 13.54.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.54% or 12.80 to $2,353.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.90% or 0.70 to hit $77.21 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.73% or 0.60 to trade at $81.28 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 104.64.
