Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Construction, Industrials and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 3.75% to hit a new 1-month high, while the MDAX index climbed 2.70%, and the TecDAX index gained 0.80%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (DE:MTXGn), which rose 10.21% or 14.80 points to trade at 159.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Daimler AG NA O.N. (DE:DAIGn) added 7.11% or 2.385 points to end at 35.950 and Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (DE:VOWG_p) was up 6.14% or 8.12 points to 140.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wirecard AG (DE:WDIG), which fell 0.65% or 0.600 points to trade at 92.165 at the close. Merck KGaA (DE:MRCG) declined 0.02% or 0.02 points to end at 103.10 and Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (DE:HNKG_p) was up 0.79% or 0.63 points to 80.70.
The top performers on the MDAX were Fuchs Petrolub AG VZO Pref (DE:FPEG_p) which rose 17.87% to 35.950, Airbus Group SE (DE:AIRG) which was up 12.19% to settle at 63.69 and Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (DE:AT1) which gained 11.41% to close at 5.506.
The worst performers were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:SATG_p) which was down 3.42% to 322.000 in late trade, CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (DE:COPMa) which lost 2.73% to settle at 71.350 and Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:SHLG) which was down 2.53% to 45.29 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Jenoptik AG (DE:JENGn) which rose 6.19% to 23.000, Nordex SE O.N. (DE:NDXG) which was up 5.47% to settle at 9.165 and TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which gained 5.06% to close at 48.07.
The worst performers were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (DE:SATG_p) which was down 3.42% to 322.000 in late trade, RIB Software AG Na (DE:RIB) which lost 2.99% to settle at 24.640 and CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (DE:COPMa) which was down 2.73% to 71.350 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 547 to 153 and 42 ended unchanged.
Shares in TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) rose to all time highs; up 5.06% or 2.31 to 48.07.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.03% to 32.77.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.98% or 17.15 to $1733.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 3.08% or 1.09 to hit $36.53 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 2.66% or 1.02 to trade at $39.34 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.37% to 1.1175, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8912.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 97.638.
