Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Transportation & Logistics, Insurance and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX added 2.21%, while the MDAX index gained 1.89%, and the TecDAX index gained 1.57%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (DE:DBKGn), which rose 7.98% or 0.76 points to trade at 10.36 at the close. Meanwhile, Porsche Automobil Holding SE (DE:PSHG_p) added 5.32% or 3.88 points to end at 76.78 and Deutsche Boerse AG (DE:DB1Gn) was up 4.63% or 6.75 points to 152.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Delivery Hero AG (DE:DHER), which fell 3.05% or 1.23 points to trade at 39.09 at the close. HelloFresh SE (DE:HFGG) declined 1.68% or 0.62 points to end at 36.22 and RWE AG ST O.N. (DE:RWEG) was down 0.35% or 0.13 points to 36.94.
The top performers on the MDAX were Knorr-Bremse AG (DE:KBX) which rose 7.12% to 72.52, Uniper SE (DE:UN01) which was up 6.54% to settle at 21.82 and Commerzbank AG O.N. (DE:CBKG) which gained 6.24% to close at 6.64.
The worst performers were Hypoport AG (DE:HYQGn) which was down 4.25% to 351.20 in late trade, AUTO1 Group SE (DE:AG1G) which lost 3.30% to settle at 10.26 and Rheinmetall AG (DE:RHMG) which was down 2.42% to 151.40 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Freenet AG NA (DE:FNTGn) which rose 5.43% to 24.25, S&T AG (DE:SANT1) which was up 3.75% to settle at 12.46 and Siltronic AG (DE:WAFGn) which gained 3.27% to close at 93.36.
The worst performers were SMA Solar Technology AG (DE:S92G) which was down 6.78% to 37.70 in late trade, Nordex SE O.N. (DE:NDXG) which lost 4.36% to settle at 16.69 and Suse SA (DE:SUSEG) which was down 0.92% to 23.58 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 481 to 231 and 58 ended unchanged.
Shares in Delivery Hero AG (DE:DHER) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.05% or 1.23 to 39.09.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 0.27% to 40.00.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 1.30% or 25.80 to $1,959.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 7.00% or 7.65 to hit $101.68 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 6.31% or 7.11 to trade at $105.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.61% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP rose 0.75% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 98.89.
