Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Transportation & Logistics and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX added 1.59%, while the MDAX index gained 1.52%, and the TecDAX index climbed 1.19%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:DTGGe), which rose 6.49% or 1.76 points to trade at 28.79 at the close. Meanwhile, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) added 4.08% or 1.21 points to end at 30.88 and Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:DBKGn) was up 3.46% or 0.32 points to 9.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG), which fell 3.26% or 1.26 points to trade at 37.42 at the close. Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:PSHG_p) declined 2.79% or 2.10 points to end at 73.18 and Qiagen NV (ETR:QIA) was down 0.47% or 0.21 points to 44.02.
The top performers on the MDAX were Kion Group AG (ETR:KGX) which rose 5.93% to 48.74, Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:CBKG) which was up 4.93% to settle at 6.81 and Bechtle AG (ETR:BC8G) which gained 4.79% to close at 42.45.
The worst performers were Vantage Towers AG (ETR:VTWRn) which was down 2.42% to 29.02 in late trade, K&S AG (ETR:SDFGn) which lost 1.99% to settle at 29.54 and Uniper SE (ETR:UN01) which was down 1.81% to 23.82 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Suse SA (ETR:SUSEG) which rose 6.08% to 30.00, Bechtle AG (ETR:BC8G) which was up 4.79% to settle at 42.45 and Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which gained 4.78% to close at 25.20.
The worst performers were Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:VBKG) which was down 5.49% to 52.55 in late trade, Vantage Towers AG (ETR:VTWRn) which lost 2.42% to settle at 29.02 and Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (ETR:O2Dn) which was down 0.60% to 2.96 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 501 to 188 and 78 ended unchanged.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 6.28% to 25.81.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.25% or 4.55 to $1,818.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.56% or 0.63 to hit $111.19 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.44% or 0.50 to trade at $113.74 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 1.11% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.80% at 103.37.
