Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer & Cyclical, Technology and Retail sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 1.34%, while the MDAX index gained 1.13%, and the TecDAX index climbed 1.26%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Adidas AG (DE:ADSGN), which rose 8.88% or 22.92 points to trade at 281.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (DE:IFXGn) added 3.70% or 1.158 points to end at 32.468 and Delivery Hero AG (DE:DHER) was up 3.64% or 4.40 points to 125.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Heidelbergcement AG O.N. (DE:HEIG), which fell 4.07% or 3.150 points to trade at 74.320 at the close. Covestro AG (DE:1COV) declined 1.33% or 0.780 points to end at 58.020 and Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (DE:VOWG_p) was down 1.04% or 2.20 points to 210.10.
The top performers on the MDAX were Aixtron SE (DE:AIXGn) which rose 4.70% to 16.660, TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which was up 4.16% to settle at 34.52 and Puma SE (DE:PUMG) which gained 3.44% to close at 89.39.
The worst performers were Hochtief AG (DE:HOTG) which was down 4.33% to 75.60 in late trade, Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:MORG) which lost 3.33% to settle at 70.210 and Prosiebensat 1 Media AG (DE:PSMGn) which was down 2.92% to 17.7850 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Aixtron SE (DE:AIXGn) which rose 4.70% to 16.660, TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which was up 4.16% to settle at 34.52 and Draegerwerk VZO O.N. (DE:DRWG_p) which gained 4.10% to close at 74.900.
The worst performers were Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:MORG) which was down 3.33% to 70.210 in late trade, S&T AG (DE:SANT1) which lost 1.30% to settle at 21.22 and Pfeiffer Vacuum Technology O.N. (DE:PV) which was down 0.72% to 165.70 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 493 to 197 and 60 ended unchanged.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 9.57% to 19.55.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.88% or 15.95 to $1831.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.36% or 0.23 to hit $64.94 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.37% or 0.25 to trade at $68.34 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.75% to 1.2154, while EUR/GBP rose 0.05% to 0.8690.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.72% at 90.282.
