Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Retail, Technology and Consumer & Cyclical sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX added 0.99%, while the MDAX index climbed 0.75%, and the TecDAX index climbed 1.35%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Delivery Hero AG (DE:DHER), which rose 7.03% or 4.46 points to trade at 67.92 at the close. Meanwhile, HelloFresh SE (DE:HFGG) added 5.52% or 3.06 points to end at 58.54 and Zalando SE (DE:ZALG) was up 5.20% or 3.46 points to 69.98 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:SHLG), which fell 2.41% or 1.40 points to trade at 56.76 at the close. Covestro AG (DE:1COV) declined 1.67% or 0.900 points to end at 52.860 and BASF SE NA O.N. (DE:BASFN) was down 1.45% or 0.990 points to 67.520.
The top performers on the MDAX were TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which rose 4.06% to 13.32, AUTO1 Group SE (DE:AG1G) which was up 4.03% to settle at 15.38 and Software AG (DE:SOWGn) which gained 3.90% to close at 34.080.
The worst performers were Hella KGaA Hueck & Co (DE:HLE) which was down 2.72% to 62.16 in late trade, K&S AG (DE:SDFGn) which lost 2.62% to settle at 16.730 and Aurubis AG (DE:NAFG) which was down 1.48% to 91.820 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Nordex SE O.N. (DE:NDXG) which rose 4.48% to 13.990, Morphosys AG O.N. (DE:MORG) which was up 4.40% to settle at 28.250 and TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which gained 4.06% to close at 13.32.
The worst performers were Siemens Healthineers AG (DE:SHLG) which was down 2.41% to 56.76 in late trade, Telefonica Deutschland Holding AG (DE:O2Dn) which lost 1.21% to settle at 2.540 and S&T AG (DE:SANT1) which was down 0.98% to 16.19 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 517 to 198 and 56 ended unchanged.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 5.82% to 26.04.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.59% or 10.50 to $1795.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.28% or 1.11 to hit $87.93 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.93% or 0.82 to trade at $89.34 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.76% to 1.1228, while EUR/GBP rose 0.48% to 0.8351.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.63% at 96.650.
