Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Financial Services, Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 0.84% to hit a new 1-month high, while the MDAX index climbed 1.21%, and the TecDAX index climbed 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n), which rose 7.55% or 0.82 points to trade at 11.68 at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Bank AG NA O.N. (ETR:DBKGn) added 2.63% or 0.29 points to end at 11.17 and Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:HNRGn) was up 2.15% or 4.40 points to 208.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn), which fell 1.12% or 0.38 points to trade at 33.58 at the close. Covestro AG (ETR:1COV) declined 1.03% or 0.50 points to end at 48.00 and Henkel & Co KGaA AG Pref (ETR:HNKG_p) was down 1.00% or 0.72 points to 71.28.
The top performers on the MDAX were Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:TEGG) which rose 4.18% to 12.60, Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:RDC) which was up 3.49% to settle at 122.90 and Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:BOSSn) which gained 3.04% to close at 58.98.
The worst performers were SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which was down 2.29% to 55.45 in late trade, Stabilus (ETR:STM1) which lost 2.09% to settle at 58.65 and Befesa SA (ETR:BFSA) which was down 1.77% to 31.00 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which rose 2.91% to 83.20, Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which was up 2.65% to settle at 30.24 and Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which gained 2.41% to close at 18.69.
The worst performers were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which was down 5.44% to 22.08 in late trade, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which lost 2.29% to settle at 55.45 and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which was down 1.19% to 10.39 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 448 to 190 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:TEGG) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.18% or 0.51 to 12.60. Shares in Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:RDC) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 3.49% or 4.15 to 122.90.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 5.34% to 13.13 a new 3-months low.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.21% or 4.25 to $1,983.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 3.42% or 2.49 to hit $75.39 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 3.58% or 2.77 to trade at $80.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 103.97.
