Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Retail, Technology and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX added 0.65% to hit a new all time high, while the MDAX index climbed 1.42%, and the TecDAX index added 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n), which rose 5.01% or 0.69 points to trade at 14.47 at the close. Meanwhile, Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG) added 3.65% or 12.30 points to end at 348.90 and Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) was up 3.40% or 0.65 points to 19.62 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p), which fell 2.59% or 8.90 points to trade at 335.00 at the close. Airbus Group SE (ETR:AIRG) declined 0.35% or 0.52 points to end at 149.98 and SAP SE (ETR:SAPG) was down 0.33% or 0.56 points to 167.76.
The top performers on the MDAX were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which rose 9.50% to 10.41, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which was up 4.50% to settle at 19.32 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which gained 3.64% to close at 31.28.
The worst performers were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which was down 1.69% to 88.66 in late trade, Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:AFXG) which lost 0.45% to settle at 110.25 and Jenoptik AG (ETR:JENGn) which was down 0.28% to 28.10 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which rose 9.50% to 10.41, ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which was up 8.13% to settle at 6.15 and CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:COP1n) which gained 5.25% to close at 33.70.
The worst performers were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) which was down 2.59% to 335.00 in late trade, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which lost 1.69% to settle at 88.66 and Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:AFXG) which was down 0.45% to 110.25 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 446 to 178 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG) rose to all time highs; up 3.65% or 12.30 to 348.90.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 1.31% to 13.94.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.43% or 8.75 to $2,029.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.12% or 0.09 to hit $76.75 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.43% or 0.35 to trade at $81.84 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.05% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 103.98.
