Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Software and Transportation & Logistics sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX rose 0.64%, while the MDAX index gained 0.67%, and the TecDAX index gained 1.92%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Wirecard AG (DE:WDIG), which rose 75.77% or 2.470 points to trade at 5.730 at the close. Meanwhile, Deutsche Post AG NA O.N. (DE:DPWGn) added 2.30% or 0.735 points to end at 32.645 and Muench. Rueckvers. VNA O.N. (DE:MUVGn) was up 2.07% or 4.70 points to 232.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Covestro AG (DE:1COV), which fell 1.37% or 0.470 points to trade at 33.850 at the close. Bayer AG NA (DE:BAYGN) declined 1.06% or 0.71 points to end at 66.28 and Merck KGaA (DE:MRCG) was down 0.87% or 0.91 points to 103.42.
The top performers on the MDAX were TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which rose 5.97% to 48.60, Dialog Semiconductor (DE:DLGS) which was up 4.99% to settle at 40.795 and CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (DE:COP1n) which gained 4.79% to close at 70.050.
The worst performers were Evonik Industries AG (DE:EVKn) which was down 1.95% to 22.610 in late trade, Lanxess AG (DE:LXSG) which lost 1.66% to settle at 46.895 and GEA Group AG (DE:G1AG) which was down 1.57% to 28.165 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Wirecard AG (DE:WDIG) which rose 75.77% to 5.730, Aixtron SE (DE:AIXGn) which was up 6.62% to settle at 10.760 and TeamViewer AG (DE:TMV) which gained 5.97% to close at 48.60.
The worst performers were RIB Software AG Na (DE:RIB) which was down 1.99% to 25.600 in late trade, Evotec AG O.N. (DE:EVTG) which lost 1.39% to settle at 24.200 and Qiagen NV (DE:QIA) which was down 0.52% to 38.405 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 387 to 280 and 71 ended unchanged.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 7.31% to 34.26.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.04% or 18.55 to $1799.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.53% or 0.21 to hit $39.91 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.05% or 0.02 to trade at $41.87 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.1247, while EUR/GBP fell 0.60% to 0.9082.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 97.285.
