Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Retail and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX rose 0.38% to hit a new all time high, while the MDAX index climbed 0.19%, and the TecDAX index gained 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n), which rose 4.07% or 0.95 points to trade at 24.27 at the close. Meanwhile, Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) added 3.32% or 0.81 points to end at 25.24 and Munich Reinsurance (ETR:MUVGn) was up 3.13% or 13.80 points to 455.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were BASF SE NA O.N. (ETR:BASFN), which fell 2.08% or 1.03 points to trade at 48.81 at the close. Airbus Group SE (ETR:AIRG) declined 1.56% or 2.54 points to end at 159.84 and Symrise AG Inh. O.N. (ETR:SY1G) was down 1.52% or 1.58 points to 101.78.
The top performers on the MDAX were Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:FMEG) which rose 4.18% to 40.40, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which was up 2.85% to settle at 25.24 and Bechtle AG (ETR:BC8G) which gained 2.42% to close at 45.64.
The worst performers were Stabilus (ETR:STM1) which was down 4.99% to 57.10 in late trade, Lanxess AG (ETR:LXSG) which lost 3.58% to settle at 26.92 and Puma SE (ETR:PUMG) which was down 3.41% to 50.70 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) which rose 3.01% to 38.00, CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:COP1n) which was up 2.66% to settle at 27.82 and Bechtle AG (ETR:BC8G) which gained 2.42% to close at 45.64.
The worst performers were Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which was down 1.62% to 21.85 in late trade, Evotec AG O.N. (ETR:EVTG) which lost 1.30% to settle at 9.52 and Cancom SE O.N. (ETR:COKG) which was down 1.22% to 29.06 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 353 to 254 and 36 ended unchanged.
Shares in Munich Reinsurance (ETR:MUVGn) rose to all time highs; up 3.13% or 13.80 to 455.40.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 13.64 a new 1-month low.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.23% or 28.80 to $2,369.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.74% or 0.59 to hit $78.67 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.76% or 0.64 to trade at $83.24 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.08% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 105.18.
