Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financial Services, Transportation & Logistics and Consumer & Cyclical sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 0.31% to hit a new 6-months high, while the MDAX index added 0.72%, and the TecDAX index gained 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG), which rose 4.20% or 1.79 points to trade at 44.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn) added 3.66% or 0.99 points to end at 28.04 and Fresenius Medical Care KGAA ST (ETR:FMEG) was up 3.10% or 1.02 points to 33.94 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:HNRGn), which fell 1.76% or 3.25 points to trade at 181.40 at the close. RWE AG ST O.N. (ETR:RWEG) declined 1.49% or 0.63 points to end at 41.68 and Airbus Group SE (ETR:AIRG) was down 1.35% or 1.58 points to 115.30.
The top performers on the MDAX were Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:TEGG) which rose 6.28% to 8.71, LEG Immobilien AG (ETR:LEGn) which was up 5.99% to settle at 76.76 and Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:AT1) which gained 5.94% to close at 2.96.
The worst performers were HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG) which was down 5.56% to 25.50 in late trade, Scout24 AG (ETR:G24n) which lost 2.82% to settle at 50.26 and Hella KGaA Hueck & Co (ETR:HLE) which was down 2.74% to 77.95 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:COP1n) which rose 4.69% to 41.50, Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was up 3.08% to settle at 23.40 and Suse SA (ETR:SUSEG) which gained 2.79% to close at 18.44.
The worst performers were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which was down 1.50% to 53.72 in late trade, Varta AG (ETR:VAR1) which lost 0.80% to settle at 27.32 and Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which was down 0.63% to 28.26 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 459 to 231 and 72 ended unchanged.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 5.36% to 18.49.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.24% or 4.60 to $1,917.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.11% or 0.89 to hit $79.22 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 1.10% or 0.94 to trade at $84.34 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.89.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 102.17.
