Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares higher while losses in the Financials, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.05%, while the SBF 120 index lost 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Legrand SA (PA:LEGD), which rose 1.12% or 0.56 points to trade at 50.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Kering SA (PA:PRTP) added 1.07% or 1.55 points to end at 146.50 and Klepierre (PA:LOIM) was up 1.00% or 0.41 points to 41.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Credit Agricole SA (PA:CAGR), which fell 5.64% or 0.543 points to trade at 9.092 at the close. Renault SA (PA:RENA) declined 1.64% or 1.40 points to end at 83.94 and Sodexo (PA:EXHO) was down 1.34% or 1.28 points to 93.89.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Altran Technologies (PA:ALTT) which rose 2.09% to 13.425, Nexans (PA:NEXS) which was up 1.45% to settle at 46.99 and Ubisoft Entertainment (PA:UBIP) which gained 1.39% to close at 32.490.
The worst performers were SES (PA:SESFd) which was down 13.46% to 19.23 in late trade, Natixis (PA:CNAT) which lost 6.14% to settle at 4.460 and Credit Agricole SA (PA:CAGR) which was down 5.64% to 9.092 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 380 to 282 and 96 ended unchanged.
Shares in Altran Technologies (PA:ALTT) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 2.09% or 0.275 to 13.425. Shares in SES (PA:SESFd) fell to 3-years lows; losing 13.46% or 2.99 to 19.23. Shares in Nexans (PA:NEXS) rose to 3-years highs; up 1.45% or 0.67 to 46.99. Shares in Ubisoft Entertainment (PA:UBIP) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.39% or 0.445 to 32.490.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was down 1.06% to 19.04 a new 6-months low.
Gold for June delivery was down 0.57% or 6.90 to $1213.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.53% or 0.26 to hit $49.22 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.77% or 0.38 to trade at $49.21 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.53% to 1.1135, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.7611.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.40% at 95.52.
