Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the Foods & Drugs, Gas & Water and General Financial sectors led shares higher while losses in the Industrials, Oil & Gas Producers and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.02%, while the SBF 120 index lost 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Vinci SA (PA:SGEF), which rose 4.41% or 3.10 points to trade at 73.34 at the close. Meanwhile, EssilorLuxottica SA (PA:ESLX) added 2.82% or 3.25 points to end at 118.50 and Orange SA (PA:ORAN) was up 1.80% or 0.16 points to 8.84 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Worldline SA (PA:WLN), which fell 2.88% or 2.08 points to trade at 70.10 at the close. Dassault Systemes SE (PA:DAST) declined 1.62% or 2.60 points to end at 158.30 and Carrefour SA (PA:CARR) was down 1.57% or 0.21 points to 13.49.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Tarkett (PA:TKTT) which rose 7.39% to 11.91, Electricite de France SA (PA:EDF) which was up 5.75% to settle at 9.70 and Genfit (PA:GNFT) which gained 4.62% to close at 4.08.
The worst performers were Elior Group (PA:ELIOR) which was down 10.88% to 3.49 in late trade, Korian Medica SA (PA:KORI) which lost 10.34% to settle at 26.70 and Ipsen SA (PA:IPN) which was down 5.23% to 85.20 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 332 to 231 and 85 ended unchanged.
Shares in Elior Group (PA:ELIOR) fell to all time lows; down 10.88% or 0.43 to 3.49.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was down 0.11% to 25.56.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.48% or 9.25 to $1907.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 3.43% or 1.33 to hit $37.39 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 3.25% or 1.33 to trade at $39.60 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.1718, while EUR/GBP fell 0.55% to 0.9061.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 93.873.
