Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Goods and Healthcare sectors led shares higher while losses in the Technology, Utilities and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.10%, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI), which rose 2.04% or 1.14 points to trade at 57.08 at the close. Meanwhile, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW) added 1.66% or 1.18 points to end at 72.06 and Bouygues SA (EPA:BOUY) was up 0.90% or 0.33 points to 36.96 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO), which fell 2.33% or 0.28 points to trade at 11.73 at the close. Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:PUBP) declined 1.99% or 1.92 points to end at 94.48 and Thales (EPA:TCFP) was down 1.78% or 2.55 points to 140.70.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Air France KLM SA (EPA:AIRF) which rose 2.81% to 9.99, Ipsen SA (EPA:IPN) which was up 2.60% to settle at 106.40 and Valneva (EPA:VLS) which gained 2.49% to close at 3.42.
The worst performers were Vusiongroup SA (EPA:VU) which was down 6.15% to 128.20 in late trade, Nexity (EPA:NEXI) which lost 5.59% to settle at 9.46 and CGG SA (EPA:GEPH) which was down 4.59% to 0.41 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 318 to 190 and 100 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bouygues SA (EPA:BOUY) rose to 3-years highs; up 0.90% or 0.33 to 36.96. Shares in Nexity (EPA:NEXI) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.59% or 0.56 to 9.46.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.13% or 2.95 to $2,188.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.09% or 0.07 to hit $77.94 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.23% or 0.19 to trade at $82.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.26% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 102.43.
