Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Foods & Drugs, Gas & Water and General Financial sectors led shares higher while losses in the Industrials, Oil & Gas Producers and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.01%, while the SBF 120 index gained 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Atos SE (PA:ATOS), which rose 3.71% or 2.12 points to trade at 59.32 at the close. Meanwhile, WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) added 2.87% or 1.98 points to end at 70.90 and Worldline SA (PA:WLN) was up 2.37% or 1.70 points to 73.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which fell 1.43% or 0.35 points to trade at 24.42 at the close. Hermes International SCA (PA:HRMS) declined 1.35% or 13.00 points to end at 951.40 and Renault SA (PA:RENA) was down 1.27% or 0.48 points to 37.70.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Electricite de France SA (PA:EDF) which rose 10.47% to 12.40, Air France KLM SA (PA:AIRF) which was up 5.06% to settle at 5.48 and Atos SE (PA:ATOS) which gained 3.71% to close at 59.32.
The worst performers were Solutions 30 SE (PA:S30) which was down 14.16% to 12.06 in late trade, Mcphy Energy (PA:MCPHY) which lost 3.97% to settle at 32.90 and Technip Energies BV (PA:TE) which was down 3.31% to 12.11 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 310 to 301 and 70 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0% to 18.96 a new 3-months low.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.05% or 0.90 to $1742.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 1.85% or 1.10 to hit $58.23 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 1.63% or 1.02 to trade at $61.72 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.12% to 1.1889, while EUR/GBP rose 0.63% to 0.8642.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 92.308.
