Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Foods & Drugs, Gas & Water and General Financial sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 1.22%, while the SBF 120 index fell 1.21%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Worldline SA (PA:WLN), which rose 1.70% or 1.30 points to trade at 77.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Dassault Systemes SE (PA:DAST) added 1.11% or 1.75 points to end at 159.95 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) was up 0.66% or 0.08 points to 11.53 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which fell 10.53% or 3.79 points to trade at 32.20 at the close. Peugeot SA (PA:PEUP) declined 4.35% or 0.70 points to end at 15.49 and Publicis Groupe SA (PA:PUBP) was down 4.29% or 1.25 points to 27.92.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Euronext (PA:ENX) which rose 4.28% to 102.30, Albioma SA (PA:ABIO) which was up 4.00% to settle at 45.55 and Soitec SA (PA:SOIT) which gained 3.81% to close at 130.80.
The worst performers were Lagardere SCA (PA:LAGA) which was down 12.48% to 15.22 in late trade, Mercialys SA (PA:MERY) which lost 10.69% to settle at 4.84 and WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) which was down 10.53% to 32.20 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 371 to 198 and 81 ended unchanged.

Shares in WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) fell to 5-year lows; down 10.53% or 3.79 to 32.20.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was down 1.10% to 22.36.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.86% or 16.75 to $1966.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.10% or 0.04 to hit $41.01 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.53% or 0.23 to trade at $43.07 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.16% to 1.1865, while EUR/GBP rose 0.35% to 0.9162.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 92.820.
