Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 fell 1.20% to hit a new 52-week low, while the SBF 120 index declined 1.30%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Carrefour SA (EPA:CARR), which rose 1.54% or 0.29 points to trade at 18.77 at the close. Meanwhile, BNP Paribas SA (EPA:BNPP) added 1.42% or 0.67 points to end at 47.34 and TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF) was up 1.37% or 0.73 points to 54.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Worldline SA (EPA:WLN), which fell 7.29% or 2.56 points to trade at 32.54 at the close. Euroapi SAS (EPA:EAPI) declined 5.70% or 0.84 points to end at 13.90 and Legrand SA (EPA:LEGD) was down 4.12% or 3.10 points to 72.20.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Valneva (EPA:VLS) which rose 2.61% to 8.01, Coface (EPA:COFA) which was up 2.07% to settle at 10.37 and Bollore SA (EPA:BOLL) which gained 1.80% to close at 4.75.
The worst performers were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was down 23.38% to 14.40 in late trade, Air France KLM SA (EPA:AIRF) which lost 13.13% to settle at 1.30 and Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) which was down 7.29% to 32.54 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 397 to 163 and 78 ended unchanged.

Shares in Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) fell to 3-years lows; losing 7.29% or 2.56 to 32.54.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.00% or 18.25 to $1,813.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.82% or 0.99 to hit $121.92 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.01% or 1.24 to trade at $123.51 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP rose 1.29% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 105.24.
