Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Foods & Drugs, Gas & Water and General Financial sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.82%, while the SBF 120 index fell 0.86%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Eurofins Scientific SE (PA:EUFI), which rose 2.59% or 2.76 points to trade at 109.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Hermes International SCA (PA:HRMS) added 1.21% or 18.50 points to end at 1543.50 and BNP Paribas SA (PA:BNPP) was up 0.45% or 0.25 points to 56.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Worldline SA (PA:WLN), which fell 6.68% or 3.28 points to trade at 45.84 at the close. Stellantis NV (PA:STLA) declined 4.14% or 0.68 points to end at 15.79 and Renault SA (PA:RENA) was down 3.26% or 0.95 points to 28.17.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Eurofins Scientific SE (PA:EUFI) which rose 2.59% to 109.24, Getlink SE (PA:GETP) which was up 1.88% to settle at 13.83 and Hermes International SCA (PA:HRMS) which gained 1.21% to close at 1543.50.
The worst performers were Ipsen SA (PA:IPN) which was down 7.36% to 79.54 in late trade, Worldline SA (PA:WLN) which lost 6.68% to settle at 45.84 and SEB SA (PA:SEBF) which was down 5.38% to 130.20 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 443 to 175 and 85 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0% to 18.96 a new 52-week low.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.53% or 9.65 to $1795.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 4.63% or 3.28 to hit $67.58 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 3.99% or 2.93 to trade at $70.59 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.40% to 1.1284, while EUR/GBP rose 0.70% to 0.8542.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 96.455.
