Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Foods & Drugs, Gas & Water and General Financial sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.42%, while the SBF 120 index lost 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Hermes International SCA (PA:HRMS), which rose 5.21% or 83.00 points to trade at 1675.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Teleperformance SE (PA:TEPRF) added 2.21% or 7.90 points to end at 365.00 and Eurofins Scientific SE (PA:EUFI) was up 2.15% or 2.32 points to 110.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Renault SA (PA:RENA), which fell 3.94% or 1.35 points to trade at 32.93 at the close. WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) declined 3.42% or 2.21 points to end at 62.33 and Airbus Group SE (PA:AIR) was down 3.41% or 3.86 points to 109.40.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Vallourec (PA:VLLP) which rose 9.65% to 6.820, Hermes International SCA (PA:HRMS) which was up 5.21% to settle at 1675.50 and Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (PA:STDM) which gained 3.77% to close at 501.40.
The worst performers were Aeroports de Paris SA (PA:ADP) which was down 6.04% to 108.95 in late trade, Technip Energies BV (PA:TE) which lost 4.63% to settle at 12.35 and TechnipFMC PLC (PA:FTI) which was down 4.58% to 5.58 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 394 to 219 and 81 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0% to 18.96 a new 6-months high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.14% or 2.60 to $1858.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 3.81% or 2.99 to hit $75.42 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 3.56% or 2.89 to trade at $78.35 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.45% to 1.1318, while EUR/GBP fell 0.29% to 0.8400.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 95.817.
