Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.03%, while the SBF 120 index lost 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR), which rose 2.34% or 3.66 points to trade at 159.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Societe Generale SA (EPA:SOGN) added 1.79% or 0.48 points to end at 27.31 and Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP) was up 1.74% or 1.95 points to 113.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN), which fell 3.28% or 1.04 points to trade at 30.64 at the close. Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) declined 1.48% or 1.30 points to end at 86.34 and Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) was down 1.47% or 2.35 points to 157.00.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which unchanged 52.94% to 0.00, Technip Energies BV (EPA:TE) which was up 3.86% to settle at 25.30 and Air France KLM SA (EPA:AIRF) which gained 3.73% to close at 7.95.
The worst performers were Sopra Steria Group SA (EPA:SOPR) which was down 9.89% to 166.70 in late trade, Nexans SA (EPA:NEXS) which lost 3.70% to settle at 106.80 and Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN) which was down 3.28% to 30.64 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 278 to 228 and 73 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 1.79% or 49.29 to $2,707.41 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.33% or 0.23 to hit $70.06 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 0.30% or 0.22 to trade at $73.30 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.19% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.44% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 106.26.
