Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Gas & Water and General Financial sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 1.51%, while the SBF 120 index gained 1.55%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which rose 6.44% or 2.60 points to trade at 42.88 at the close. Meanwhile, Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) added 4.53% or 11.30 points to end at 260.90 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) was up 4.38% or 1.50 points to 35.73 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orange SA (EPA:ORAN), which fell 0.54% or 0.05 points to trade at 9.25 at the close. Thales (EPA:TCFP) declined 0.48% or 0.55 points to end at 113.00 and EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:ESLX) was down 0.46% or 0.65 points to 140.35.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which rose 10.01% to 2.12, Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which was up 7.05% to settle at 11.24 and WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) which gained 6.44% to close at 42.88.
The worst performers were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was down 5.69% to 8.16 in late trade, ALD SA (EPA:ALDA) which lost 3.27% to settle at 9.46 and Rubis SCA (EPA:RUBF) which was down 1.93% to 21.39 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 335 to 198 and 93 ended unchanged.
Shares in ALD SA (EPA:ALDA) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.27% or 0.32 to 9.46. Shares in Rubis SCA (EPA:RUBF) fell to 5-year lows; losing 1.93% or 0.42 to 21.39.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.22% or 3.75 to $1,672.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.51% or 1.23 to hit $80.00 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.85% or 1.61 to trade at $85.57 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 0.98, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.36% to 0.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 112.21.
