Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Foods & Drugs, Gas & Water and General Financial sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.91%, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.84%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Vinci SA (PA:SGEF), which rose 5.63% or 4.58 points to trade at 85.88 at the close. Meanwhile, Renault SA (PA:RENA) added 5.46% or 2.10 points to end at 40.45 and Societe Generale SA (PA:SOGN) was up 3.48% or 0.58 points to 17.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alstom SA (PA:ALSO), which fell 5.00% or 2.27 points to trade at 43.17 at the close. Danone SA (PA:DANO) declined 1.77% or 0.96 points to end at 53.14 and WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) was down 1.34% or 0.84 points to 61.78.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Vinci SA (PA:SGEF) which rose 5.63% to 85.88, Renault SA (PA:RENA) which was up 5.46% to settle at 40.45 and Vallourec (PA:VLLP) which gained 4.65% to close at 26.430.
The worst performers were Alstom SA (PA:ALSO) which was down 5.00% to 43.17 in late trade, Danone SA (PA:DANO) which lost 1.77% to settle at 53.14 and Faurecia (PA:EPED) which was down 1.39% to 43.90 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 349 to 242 and 73 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0% to 18.96 a new 1-month low.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.86% or 15.45 to $1806.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.37% or 0.77 to hit $57.00 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.93% or 0.55 to trade at $59.55 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.53% to 1.2025, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.8761.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 91.127.
